Grandma Schert saw Annapolis with us on an unusually hot June day. We walked around the U.S. Naval Academy grounds and took these pictures there, right on the edge of the river. Despite the heat, we all decided it was a success, as we heard several tunes from the USNA chapel church bell's 6 o'clock repertoire, ate authentic Maryland crab cakes and crab soup (the tomato-based kind) in an historic tavern, felt the bay breeze finally cool things down before a thunderstorm, and made it back home safely and easily while the girls maintained a happy mood throughout.

I love what both the girls are doing in the past picture.
