July 4 -- Orlando, FL, Disneyworld, Magic Kingdom, very hot and humid, multitudes of people, hour plus lines for rides, and... such great fun! Thanks to "cast member" Uncle Nick and his inside help, we stopped to visit Disneyworld for part of a night and day before heading to the coast for vacation with family. Aunt B joined us for a night at the Orleans Riverside and a day in the Magic Kingdom.
Klara enjoyed the whole of it, including waiting in line for more than an hour for the Peter Pan ride and another hour for the Dumbo ride. It was worth it, if only to see her sheer delight and unquenchable curiosity for more. One of Klara's favorite occasions was watching the "Celebration" parade, waving and shouting as characters moved by. (Hey, was the prince pointing at Klara?) I was taking photos with one hand and with the other, finishing up a large turkey leg; at $7 the best deal and protein option in the Kingdom. It was great fun, and we can't wait to go back.
