San Diego is pretty. San Diego is soft, sunny and breezy. When we weren't at the zoo or strolling the downtown Gaslamp District, we had this super fun condo to stay in thanks to first cousin-once-removed (on Grandma Ann's side), Vicki, and her husband Steve. Too bad there wasn't a Padres game on that day. The view of the field and diamond is unbeatable. We are so thankful to them for giving us their downtown pad (and zoo tickets!) for our visit. We had so much fun getting re-acquainted with them. The highlight of the San Diego zoo, for Klara, was probably the gorilla baby. He was only the size of a small dog; he must have been very young. But he (she?) was very agile while crawling all over the place and just being adorable. At one point he came right up to the glass and interacted with K a little. It was amazing!
