Our travels to the West Coast began in Santa Monica, where we spent most of a week with dear friends, Jono, Ashley and their sweet baby. No question that Santa Monica is one of the more splendid and livable places on the continent, but the time with friends was what reminded us most of Heaven. Walking down Wilshire to dinner, or on Ocean in overlook of the Pacific, or strolling down Montana to a coffee shop, going to church on a Sunday evening on Mulholland, jogging on the beach past the pier up to Venice Beach and back, or in John Wayne state park; all re-creating and bliss because of time together and in/with Emmanuel (the Lord Jesus).
