We ventured to another national museum this Sunday afternoon, this time the National Building Museum. One review site gave the museum high marks for its overall child-friendly features, so we thought we would Metro over and see. Day-old snow was still piled up on the sides of the streets, slowing traffic and general movement so we parked by Pentagon City and Metro'd into town, amidst a current of red hockey jerseys and gear (Caps fans). What you can see in the camera phone photos is the remarkable open space inside the building. Enormous columns in the interior open space into its upper canopy many floors above. There were big Legos, blocks of all sizes, mini-houses and several families and kids. We'll go back sometime, I imagine.
