Gettysburg

This is a continuation of documenting our Syracuse trip.



In this moment we're on opposite ends of the energy spectrum.



We reached the Battle of Gettysburg national cemetary right before sunset.




You can see an old cannon behind us...







...and the monument memorializing the soldiers who perished.

Great pictures. The scenery looks fantastic. The first picture makes me laugh.

The two photos (on the right) include the monument marking the spot where President Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address.

As you can see in part in one of the photos, the monument faces in one direction over the beginnings of the vast cemetery, and on the other side, to a vista looking over the Pennsylvania hills and an endless horizon.

Addendum: Or rather than "in part", both views are evident in two of the photos.
