Klara bella is discovering what toys represent in the way of shapes, colors, textures and sounds. In this recent morning sitting we looked over a handful of smaller items. The stuffed animal Kiwi bird, a gift from New Zealander colleagues, was particularly curious to her: a furry brown bird with a rather pronounced yellow beak and oversized striped black and white scarf around its neck. Her eyes lit up with a "HMMmm, whaaat is that?!" sort of look.
